On 17th May 2018 I went to Kalimpong for a short (3 days) trip with my family. We planned for this trip 2 months before. Kalimpong is a small town in Himalaya and it can be cover within a 3 days trip. On 17th May at night me and my family started from ‘Sealdah’ to ‘New Jalpaiguri’ in ‘Dargeeling Mail’. After reaching there on the next day morning we took a share cab from ‘Siliguri’ to ‘Kalimpong’ which takes 3 hours. Hotel was booked previously so we checked in immediately after reaching there.

On the next day we took a cab for side seen. The main tourist spots which we saw on that day is:

• Hanuman Tok
• Deolo Hill
• Mangal Dham
• Durpin Monastery
• Pineview Nursery
• Chitrabhanu

It was rainy season, so we did not get much chance to see Kangchenjunga. On the day of returning we saw that for only five minutes in the early morning. We took lots of pictures and you can find some of them in my Instagram profile. On 20th May we started our return journey and reach home on the next day morning. Overall, I found Kalimpong is a peaceful tourist destination for short journey to Himalaya with nice scenic beauty.
